Rick
Craig has been a youthworker by trade since 1990. He also worked
as a foster parent with teenagers for 4 years, in both corrections and social
services. He is currently
Executive Director of The Youth Room, Inc. which specializes in services to
youth and young adults both in the private and public sectors. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Intercultural Communication from
the University of Minnesota and a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral
Studies/Youth Ministry from the University of St. Thomas. In addition to
his experience and educational background, Rick has training from multiple
workshops including Love & Logic Institute, Boundaries, Attachment Disorders,
Sexual Abuse, Teaching Touching Safety, FAE/FAS, Positive Parenting of Teens, Effects of Caregiving on the Family, and Permanency Issues for Children. He has also
conducted multiple retreats, leadership trainings, service learning experiences
and educational programs in his over 15 years of work with teens.
Rick has worked with social workers, therapists, psychiatrists, school case
managers, probation officers, and church personnel as part of his work with
teens and brings with him a wealth of experience and empathy for teens working
toward a stable and healthy lifestyle.
