Be a Catholic Confirmation Retreat Host Site!

The Youth Room is looking for parishes to host regional retreats for youth preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.  This is a great way for parishes to expand their own Confirmation preparation processes at little to no cost.

 Read on for more information!

• Sites must be able to host a minimum of 25 candidates in a large group and provide break-out areas for small group discussions (an area must be available to eat lunch).

• Retreats are Saturdays, 10:00am-4:00pm

• Retreats will be advertised and open to candidates in other Catholic Churches.

• The cost is $30/participant and includes lunch and materials for the day.  Host sites will get 1 free registration for each paid registration they register with a minimum of 25 paid registrants.  The Youth Room will coordinate with host site in collecting registrations and fees.

• Retreats will be coordinated by a member of our Retreat staff at The Youth Room, Inc.  Your parish provides facilitators for the people you register, The Youth Room provides facilitators for out-of-parish registrants.

• There are two choices for retreat themes:

Discipleship.  This retreat is usually used as a first retreat or only retreat for a Confirmation group.  It focuses on Jesus' call to "Come, follow me."   The theme explores in depth three stages of discipleship: curiosity, challenge and commitment.  The retreat wraps up affirming the candidate's decision to be a full member of a community that roots itself in the growing edges of discipleship.

We Got the Spirit.  This retreat is used as a second retreat for a Confirmation group.  It focuses on the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.  The retreat wraps up empowering candidates to use their gifts and recognize the results of the Spirit at work in their lives.
